MOON LETTER #7 : WHAT YOU GREW WITH YOUR OWN HANDS

Full Moon in Aries | September 2026

I have been thinking about how quickly I can move past something I worked hard to build.

I finish it, take one look, and my mind goes straight to what still needs doing. The next batch. The next decision. The part that did not turn out the way I hoped. Meanwhile, there is actual work in front of me that did not exist until I made it.

I wonder how many of us do this with our lives, too. We can name what is unfinished without taking a breath. Ask us what we have grown, and suddenly we have trouble finding the words.

The Harvest Moon reached its peak yesterday, just after the Equinox. Its name comes from its place near that seasonal turning point, when gathering what has grown matters as much as planting what comes next.

This year, the Full Moon is in Aries, opposite the Sun in Libra. I think about that as the space between our own needs and our relationships. We live with other people. We care about them. Their needs matter. Ours belong in the room, too.

Sometimes the thing ready to be harvested is the result of months of work. Sometimes it is self-trust. You said no and stayed with your answer. You noticed what was happening instead of talking yourself out of it. You made something, changed something, or kept going through a season that asked a lot of you.

That counts. Even if it looks different from what you expected to have by now.

I think harvest also asks for honesty about what we keep tending. Some things are growing because we give them our time and care. Others keep taking from us, and we continue out of habit, obligation, or the hope that one more effort will change them. Seeing the difference can bring up grief. It can bring up anger. It can also give us a choice.

Aries brings courage into that choice. Libra asks us to consider the people affected by it. We can do both without handing over the decision.

I am taking stock of what I have built, including the parts that have been easy for me to overlook. I am also paying attention to where my energy goes now. What I made deserves to be seen. What comes next deserves a choice I can stand behind.

MIRROR MOMENT

What have you grown that you keep brushing past because you are already thinking about what comes next?

Where are you giving your energy because you choose to, and where are you giving it because you are afraid of what will happen if you stop?

RITUAL SPARK

Take two pieces of paper. On the first, write: This is what I grew. Name something specific. A piece of work, a boundary, a relationship you tended, a way you learned to trust yourself. Put this paper somewhere you will see it.

On the second, write: This is what I am done tending. Name one thing that continues to take your energy without belonging in the season ahead. Fold the paper and set it aside. You can decide later whether to keep it, tear it up, or return it to the earth.

Then choose one action that honors what you wrote. Give your work the credit it deserves. Have the conversation. Decline the request. Make room for what you want to grow next.

If you have Gather Gold, you can use it as you name what you are ready to receive from your efforts. If you have Equal Ground, use it when you make the choice that helps you stay steady. The choice is yours; the scent can help you remember it.

There is more to your harvest than what you can hold in your hands. Take a good look at what you have already made possible.

With love,

Francheska
